Thanks Teresa, since I posted my message, I was able to dig out the same info. I'll try to get the CD thru Geanealogy.com. Emma A. Richardson was my great-grandfather's sister. I have a copy of the 1870 census for Aurora which shows an 18-year-old girl, Maggie, as well as a 4-year-old son, "Tho" (Thomas?) in her household. She is already widowed. The girl is listed as "daughter" but she would have been 4 years old when Emma and Roswell married. Did he have a previous wife or is Maggie some other relative? (She's also in the household in 1880.) I don't quite understand a "Thomas" but the 1880 census shows "Ernest" at 13 y.o. I can then follow them thru 1930 and they're still living on Locust St. in Aurora. Never saw the name "Thomas" again. Any ideas who Maggie and Thomas are? In the 1900 census, there's a "Ruth Wadsworth", "grand-daughter", maybe she's Maggie's daughter???
