I was searching the web today and found that in an old volume of the New England Historic and Genealogical Society Register was an article with the title "Downer Bible Records". It was in the October 1931 Volume 85 Number 340 issue of NEHGS Register. Just wondered if anyone had ever seen this, and if so would they have a copy of the names listed in the issue?
I looked at the website, and it appears that to even try to see if this issue is available for online viewing the cheapest membership is $75.00 which in my opinion is way too much to spend in hopes of finding something. There wasn't even a guarantee that the article was there to view. I found the reference on another website that was a bookseller, but the issue in question was listed as "on hold" which means it probably wasn't availible for purchase.
Checked our local library and the online catalog is a bit ambiguous as to which volumes are actually availible in the library.
Soooo, I'm hoping that someone either has this issue, or has made a copy of the names listed so I can decide just how badly I need to search for this reference.
