Serveral serious TROUT researchers have recently joined together to establish a "TROUT-DNA Research Project" to sort and/or connect the various early TROUT, TROUTT, TRAUT, TRAUDT, and DRAUT family lines in America, as well as hopefully confirm the various lines back to SW Germany and perhaps some lines to England.

1. Go to http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_det.asp?Group=Trout&projecttype=S
2. Fill out “Trout Project Join Request” and submit.
3. I will then send you a “Join Code” to use in receiving the reduced group rate when ordering your DNA test kit. This code will also then automatically associate your test with our research project.
4. Once you actually order your test kit, you then are automatically entered as a TROUT-DNA Research Project member.
(Based on the group rate we are now receiving from our source company, a 12-marker test is only $99 instead of the $159 charged for persons who are not members of a family research project.)
