Valerie,
I believe that latter may have been from my great grandfather, Thomas Drysdale, who was married to Ellen Roulston. He worked as a stone cutter, in Niagra, N.Y., Buttermilk Falls, near Ithaca and eventually came to NYC. If you still have the letter, I'd be most interested in it's contents.
