Little is known of Ahiu. Eleanor is presumed to be the mother of James due to the dates. Some researchers theorize this is one and the same person with spelling variations. James was born in 1807. Below is the documentation on Eleanor, Ahiu etc. that I have:
5Isaiah b.1764 Beaver Co PA, d.1856 McDonough Co IL,
m1.1785 Eleanor JONES Beaver Co PA; listed in 1805 with Levi; m2. Ahiu/Ann(varies by account)UNKNOWN b.abt 1776 listed in 1850 Nobles Co IND census as Isaiah DANGAN with female Ahiu age 74. Held land in Washington Co PA 1/22/1785 jointly with James. Moved to IND abt 1802. Isaiah was farmer and stock breeder.
