I am looking for the family of my gg-grandfather Henderson B. Durnell (Durnil) b.1816 in Lee County, Virginia and was in Boone County, Missouri by 1850. He died in Carroll County, Mo. on April 5, 1862. Cause of his death was attributed to pneumonia that he contracted while serving in the 23rd Missouri Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War.
He had 9 children.......William Patrick, Jerome H., Eli N., James H. Benjamin Franklin, John Mack, Mary Elizabeth, Susan Amanda and Molly. He was married to(1)Margaret Neal and (2) Jacintha (Cynthia) Calvert. William Patrick Durnil was my g-grandfather and his son James Franklin Durnil was my grandfather. James Franklin married Hattie Plaster. Do any of these names
sound familiar? Any information would be appreciated.
Betty Durnil Dison
