Gold Byron Dycus was born June 12, 1846, in Georgia or Tennessee, and died January 12, 1916 in Oklahoma. He married Elizabeth Frances Elliott February 25, 1880 in Cass County, Texas. She was born February 25, 1858 in Cass county, Texas, and died May 12, 1922 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma (Buried in Holly Creek Cemetery) McCurtain County.
Children of Gold and Elizabeth Elliott are:
1. David Elliott Dycus, b August 12, 1881, in Georgia: d. May 6, 1943, Red Lick, Bowie County, Texas. Buried in Red Lick Cemetery.
2. R. Vernellia Dycus, b. July 28, 1883; d. April 27,1904.
3. Mary Emily Dycus, b. November 29, 1885, Cass County, Texas; d. August 31, 1971, Idabel, McCurtain Co. Oklahoma (Buried- Holly Creek Cemetery.
