Brian, We have also searched for parentage of Abner R Eachus and have reached a dead end. My husband is John R Eachus, his father Otto eachus Sr, grandfather Reed Eachus, Great grandfather Lewis M Eachus, great great grandfather Abner R Eachus. The only clue we have is that Leslie Eachus of Colorado , who has since died, told us we were on his line which included Rufus and Benjamin of Ohio but we were never clear how we were linked. Are you Brian of England and are you just doing research or are you related to this line? We have records of our family on FTW but haven't ever entered on world tree because wasn't sure everthing was correct and hadn't had time to check it. Let me know if you want anything.
