Hi John. The information from Joesph to Abner was given by Joseph's son Jim, as follows Joseph > Lewis Gillette Eachus > Joseph Jerome Eachus > Lewis M Eachus > Abner R Eachus. You mentioned Rufus and his father Benjamin as possible ancesters of Abner, Well I have another John Wesley Eachus born 1880 in Ohio who also goes back to the same two people. I think we are getting close. but still no connection.
