Sandra, according to what I've been told, a "moon baby" is a child born out of wedlock (the term used in Nova Scotia at that time in history). MicMac, one of the spelling variations, is a tribe of Indians who lived in that area before the European settlers. Please email me at my new email, as we are in the processing of moving again - that makes 2x in 10 months for me. :) (laurene777@yahoo.com) without the brackets. Laurene Melgey Shewan
