Dewey Eakin, Arkansas. Ohio?

Greetings!

My grandfather's name was Dewey Eakin. He was born in 1901 and lived in Atkins, Little Rock and finally Conway, Arkansas. I believe my mother told me long ago that his family came from Ohio. I also believe he was of Irish-Indian descent.

Does anyone have an offspring listed as Dewey, anywhere? He named his sons, Alan, Doyle, and William George and his daughter, Norma Dean. He married Halene Howard.
