Is EAKIN a form of AITKEN?

Can anyone tell me if the name EAKIN is a form of AITKEN?
I am trying to research the surname of EAKIN from PA that links to our MOODY surname and I have found this name spelled many different ways.
Then often times I run into the name AITKEN and wonder if these two names are a part of each other.
