Hi Patricia -

I've looked thru my files and can't find any reason why Martha (or Marthy, as she was commonly referred to) and "Mr" Ratcliff's son lived with his grandparents. Phillip Easterly's journal (of which Bob Easterly of Gunnison, CO and I each have an original) merely acknowledges Martha's birthdate and her marriage to Mr. Ratcliffe.
