Thomas c1853 Canada 2or1?

I have two Thomas Easton entries in my database
Thomas Easton b 10 Mar 1853 Nassagaweya Twp Canada West
m Margaret Loree 2 Nov 1875 Eramosa Twp, Wellington Co, ON
listed in the 1881 Canadian census (LDS version) in Erin Twp Well. Co m. with surname Estman, w Maggie, children Mary and John (+Holmes - from other sources)
parents George and Fanny
Thomas Easton b c 1852 Canada West (age 27 in 1880)
listed s. in the 1880 census (LDS version) Platte, Dawson, Nebraska with parents George and Fannie and siblings
this Fannie is Frances Reed, with father Henry, mother Ann Holmes (other sources), b Nassagaweya Twp

My question is are there two Thomas Eastons or just one with incorrect information in the census records? the 2nd name Holmes for John is suggestive.
Any evidence one way or the other would be welcome.
