The November 2007 issue of ANTIQUES magazine on page 159 displays a fine portrait of Sarah Maria DuBois (later Mrs. John Easton), probably of New Paltz, NY, painted c. 1824 by the great NY folk art painter Ammi Phillips. This portrait should be made known to the DuBois and Easton families. I am scanning it in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by them. It may not have extensive genealogy value, but it certainly does have a whole lot of family and artistic value. My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please respond by emailing me directly and not by posting a reply on this genforum site, which I might not see. If it were a portrait of a 19th century Pease family member, I'd certainly hope someone would do the same for me. Bill Pease Lancaster, PA Notify Administrator about this message?
