NOt sure if this helps but my paternal grandfather, George Arther Ellis was Donald Macefield Easton's half-brother, their mother was Frederick Easton's first wife, Alma P.Walker, who was previously married to William L. Ellis of Canada, who immigrated from Canada to Northern California in the mid 1800's with George Guerne (Guerneville, California and Lewis Petrie (Petrie wine).
