Hello Marilyn,

I was scanning through some of the Easton stuff on here and happened to see your post. Elizabeth Laird Easton was also my ancestor. Her son Matthew was my great-grandfather, born in Scotland in 1831. He settled in San Bernardino. From what I know of the history, one or two of the girls did return to Scotland from Utah, but I don't believe that Elizabeth did. I'll have to do some digging and see if I can find all of the records of the exodus to California via Utah. Some of the family settled in San Bernardino area, and some up around Hollister. I've moved a couple of times in the past 5 years, but I know that somewhere stored away we have pretty extensive albums of family history, that goes way back into Scotland, to Airdrie and Lanarkshire. I'll see what I can find for you.

Pat (Easton) Sahlin
