I can't be certain as to Zachariah's father. I was hoping by posting here that I might get some leads, and possibly benifit others with the family information for her. My primary interest in Zachariah Eldreth and Jane Perry would be their decendancy. I'm at a block with Wyatt Perry, Jane's father, and was hoping some contact might have bible records or other records to indicate her heritage, or at least her mother's maiden name. Zachariah was about 73 when they married and Jane would have been 34. I strongly believe this a second marriage for both. The 1870 Ashe census shows Zachariah and Jane with a 5 year old child named Mary, but I believe this more likely a grandchild. He would have been about 75 when he fathered this child if it was indeed his. Thank your for your response. I'll keep a copy in case I turn up anything.
