I am trying to connect two groups of Elsdons from NE England from whom I am descended.
Group 1 includes Jane Elsdon b 1796, James Elsdon b 1797 and Ann Elsdon b 1806/7 all baptised Bishopwearmouth with parents James & Ann Elsdon.
Group 2 is Margaret Elsdon b 1823 father William Elsdon
I think there should be an Elsdon connection between the 2 groups.
The interesting part is that Ann Elsdon was the first wife of Thomas Bulmer and Margaret Elsdon was the second wife of Thomas Bulmer. Both marriages were in Gateshead (1840 and 1846 respectively) BUT was Ann and Margaret related before thier marriage? It would help to know who William Elsdons siblings or parents were?
Also Jane Elsdon was the wife of Anthony Bulmer (who was Thomas Bulmers uncle) so their is quite an incestuous relationship!
