Dear Kurt, Thanks for you email but I don't think this is a Frederick Elz that fits into my family - at least not at this point. I'm afraid I haven't been able to determine where my Elz family originated. I can't find Frederick in the USA other than when he married my greatgrandmother. I know there is an Elz river and a town of Elz in Germany and that is probably where they originated but as of yet I can't prove it. Appreciate your efforts very much. Sincerely Diana
