Hi Neshoba, Just came across your message while researching my family tree. I don't know how the name came to reach America, but it has been a family name in Cambridgeshire, England for many years. The earliest record I have of the name is the marriages of a brother & sister in Cambridge in 1542. So it must go back beyond that. I have reluctantly decided that I may never know its origin. I hope this is of some interest. It is considered an uncommon name in England and all those I have found all appear to be descended from a small number of families in cambridge. Perhaps the American Fabb's also started there. Regards Terry Notify Administrator about this message?
