Hi Nathan, Have just come across this message you posted in 2005. It's possible our families are linked as you mention Southend. My grandfather had a brother Basil who's son also Basil lived for many years in Westcliffe On Sea. I remember meeting him several times in the 50's. With the death of the brothers we inevitably lost touch. My Grandfathers Name was Montague and his father was George.
