Hello, I don't know if we're cousins, but my family also originated in Friesland (IJlst). I've only traced back to late 1700-early 1800's -- a lot of Cornelis, Jacob, Thomas, plus a few Anne's (Andrew). I know we had three generations of ice skate makers in Friesland. My ggGrandfather, Cornelis Jacob owned "C.J. Faber & Son" from 1856 until his death in 1904. Some other family surnames include: Schilstra, Vierstra, Wiersma, Eschbach, Van der Velde, and Nijdam.
