Faber Family in Trenton N.J.
Posted by: Alan Robert Ely Faber Date: March 28, 2001 at 06:34:45
  of 461

My Grandfather was William E. Faber married
to Mae Chamney, living and operating a sign
business in Trenton in the 1915-1939 period.
My father was Robert Wilburton Faber, born
in Trenton in 1910 and later married Helen
Roberts in 1935. In 1939 the Fabers' sold the
sign business in Trenton and moved to Santa Barbara CA for a brief time where they operated a gas station/motel. In 1940 the
Fabers' moved back east with the grandparents
moving to a house in Miami, FL and with
Robert W. going into the Army, Helen and son
Alan, moved in with Helens' parents in Morrisville, Pa. During the "war" the Faber
grandparents lived winters in FL and spent
summers living in a hotel in Trenton, N.J.
Robert W. was a cpl. in the military police
in the Army. When the war ended, Robert W. was discharged in No. CA and Helen & son Alan
did not elect to join him there and so separated/eventually divorced. Last information about the grandparents Faber was
when William Fabers sister Dorothy Faber Doris of Trenton, N.J. died and at that time
I was told that my grandparents were still living then somewhere near San Bernadino, CA.
Robert W. Faber, my father, in order to avoid
child support during his Army duty, may have
changed his name to "Frank Parker".
