Nancy, Thank you for your reply. Faber seems to be a very common name in Luxembourg. I can not establish a connection of John B. Faber, borned March 7, 1821 to Mathias Faber. John moved from Lux to Chicago around 1850's and moved to Kankakee Ill 1869. He was a florist. He had a relative, I think a brother, Johann Jakol Faber who stayed in Luxembourg. He had a son George Faber who has borned at Echternach, Lux Sept 8, 1867 and died August 16,1936 in Lux city, Lux. He was the Attorney General of Lux. My dad was in contact with another relative living in Lux Marie-Anne Faber Hoffman who pasted away in 1997 in Lux City.
I do not have any information on Joseph and Maria Faber married in High Ridge, Ill.
I would be interested in any information you have on the Faber's in Lux. I have a letter from George written in Lux in the 1930's that I am trying to translate. Thanks for your help. Bob Faber
