Bob: Here is a breakdown of the Fabers on board the vessel Silvanus Jenkins, that arrived in NY JUL 1845. See: http://istg.rootsweb.com/v3/1800v3/silvanusjenkins18450703.html FABER, André 26 Baschleiden (with family of 3) farmer FABER, Nicholas 56 Baschleiden(with family of 4)farmer ----------- Nicholas Faber 56 male farmer from Baschleiden to WISC (9-total family memebers traveling) Maria Faber wife 48 female Maria Faber daughter 18 female Anna Marguerite Faber daughter 14 female Jean Faber son 9 male Andre Faber 26 male farmer from Baschleiden to WISC Anne Catherine Faber his wife 22 female Nicholas Faber son 2y6m male Pierre Faber son 6m male I always assumed Andre Faber (26) was the son of Nicholas Faber (56), athough he could have been a newphew. Jean/John Faber, who was 9 in 1845, would have been 24 in 1860, when the census showed him married w/4-children. Could this possibly be your family? My Pletschette/Plettschette family moved from the Chicago area to Iowa around 1859. PS: Young was also Jung. Notify Administrator about this message?
