I believe your FALCH may connect to mine because of locations and given names.

The 1880 US Census has at Vernon, Dodge Co., Minnesota [MN]

Barnhart FALCH, 48, farmer, NOR, NOR, NOR {birthplaces of person & parents}.
Julia, 36, NOR, NOR, NOR.
Sons Anton B., 15, b. NOR; Hagebart, 6 MN; & Oscar, 4 MN.
Daus. Bernhartina, 13, NOR; Theresa, 8, MN.

Emil C. FALCH, 45, farmer, NOR, NOR, NOR.
Wife Guri, 34, NOR, NOR, NOR. Children all b. MN: Thalie, 18; Fredrick W., 16 {only son, all others daus.}; Alette, 13; Emelie, 11; Relise, 9; Julia C., 7; Clara M., 5; Nanna H, 2; Nora W., two months. Also in household Aslau SIMONSON, mother-in-law, 72, NOR, NOR, NOR.
The 1865 Census of Larvik, Norway:

Also in household Johan Christian, 63, Fødested Laurvig.

These are just the FALCH entries I found closest to mine. My line is from Diana FALCH, b. 9 Jan. 1785; bpt. 18 Jan. 1785, Moss Parish, Ostfold, Norway, Deane Karine {sic}, dau/o Friedrich Andersen FALCH, & Karen Mathea Olsd. BERGS, m. 21 Apr. 1783, Moss. My great-grandfather was bpt. 2 S 1849, Moss, John Hagbarht (sic, Hagbarth) NESS. My cousin got the copies of the actual handwritten records from Moss at the LDS Library in Salt Lake City.

The 1801 Census of Moss, Smaalehnene, Møller Gaden, #45, had Friderich Anderssen FALCH, 45; Karen M. O., 36; Diane Carine, 17; Hans Broderius, 14; Anders Olaus, 12; Jacob Abraham, 8; Mathias Green_bagge, 7; Else Carine, 4; & Elisabeth Christiane, 1.

Notice that Emil of Vernon, MN, named his eldest son Fredrick; Barnhart had a son Hagebart {sic}. We shouldn't need to go too much further back to connect!
