Diana,
My emigrant ancestor was Laurence Feagle who, I believe,came through PA to SC from Germany. He was born about 1780 and was in US by 1800. I wonder if ours are connected. I don't think the name was that popular at the time. My Laurence had a son, John, but he came to FL with brother William, my gggrandfather. Possibly Laurence came with other family and they spread out. Children of Laurence that I know of were: John, Mary, William Madison, Salome (Sally), Susanna, Eve, and George all born in the early 1800's.
