This is what I know. Alot of the time some of the Felty's, unsure if it is a southern tradition, go by middle names which makes it very difficult to piece families together. My husband is Jeffrey Tyke Felty, they call him Tyke. His father is Harry Claude Felty, they call him Harry. His father is Roy Kent Felty, they call him Kent. Roy Kent Felty's fathetr si William David Felty. William David Felty's father is Andrew Felty. Andrew has a son named Charles Lee Felty born on July 6, 1864. He married a Lucinda Florence Brown on April 20, 1887. He passed on Jan. 6, 1930. According to my father in law he had an uncle Charlie in Tazwell, but if I read my information correct they would have really been great uncle. Who knows. I have a pretty extensive family history of this line of Felty's going back to a Nicholas Felty which came from Oldenburge Germany. My paperwork shows his father as Heinrich Felty. That is as far as I have seen any information. When I have time I will chart it out for you and forward all the information.
