Fite family: N.C.> KY.>Illinois, Hiram, Abraham, etc.

I am helping an elderly friend, Dr. Olive L. Fite, a retired professor, look up her family, and have hit the common brick wall.

Her pedigree is as follows:

Father: Walter Fite, b. 1870, Illinois & Exima D. Seibert

Grandparents: Hiram Fite (b.1843 in KY.-1922) and Elizabeth; both died in Illinois

Gr'grandparents: Abraham (b. 1787) & Elizabeth Anne, called Annie in census (b. 1817). These dates according to the 1850 census. Both died in Illinois.

Son, Hiram, reported in the 1910 census that his father, Abraham, was born in N.C. I have found an Abraham Fite born in N.C. but at a much later date.
