Hi, I am just now searching our family tree. My father, Peter Ernest Folkard, immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1954. His father, Ernest Charles Folkard was born in Portobello, Scotland circa 1905. I have no further information than that so far, but for many years my great aunt told us that the Folkard clan is directly related to Sir Francis Drake. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.
