Hello,

It is my belief that my ancestor, David Henry Wall (b. 1834, AL), may have been a son of James M. Wall (b. 1807, VA) and his first wife, Sarah Ann Jones. They were married 1824 in Lawrence Co., AL. Sometime between 1834 and 1837, James M. and his brother, Michael, removed to Hinds Co., MS. They removed to Madison Par., LA by 1850 and both appear to have died there prior to 1860.

I have found land entries in Hinds, Rankin and Humphreys Cos., MS for Michael Wall, Benjamin M. D. Mason and John T. Parham. Additionally, William S. Parham was living with Michael Wall's second wife, Laura Ann Pack, in Bienville Par., LA in 1880. Michael's first wife was Nancy Birdsong. The Birdsongs were another old Virginia family and they settled in Hinds Co., MS.

If you have any further information on this family, I should grateful to you for sharing. I am slowly piecing things together and hope to locate estate papers for both James M. Wall and Michael Wall in Madison Parish.

I want to thank you in advance for any help you can afford me.

Sincerely,

John Smallwood
