I am having a problem with finding any information on my the parents of my g g grandfather. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My g g grandfather was Jacob K. Ford. The only info I have is that he was born in Indiana abt. 1839. He married Martha Elizabeth Tipton in Vermillon Co. Illinois in 1862. Their children were: Elizabeth J.(b. 1864,IL), William T.(born 1867,Il), Sarah Ellen (b 1873, Id), James W. (b 1877, Id), and Mabel (b 1879,Id). He died in 1887 in Grand Rapids, Mi. Jacob, his wife, and 4 of his children are buried in Grand Rapids. I can't find any evidence of him on the 1860 or 1870 census. I found a Jacob Ford on the 1850 census living with another family (Davis)and am wondering if he could have been an orphan. I am at a complete dead end and need a lot of help. I am really new at this. Thank you in advance. Pat Minnema
