Hello Teresa. Yes, I do believe that this Forgey is related to the line that I have been working on, but probably cousins. I checked the 1900 census for Smith County, Oak township, Kansas, and located a Thomas A Forgey, 12. He was the son of Andrew J. Forgey, 54, b. 1846, b. Ind., f. born Tenn. His wife was Susan, 48, b. 1852, Iowa, f. born Mich. I have an Andrew Jackson Forgey as the son of Andrew Forgey, father of the sons I have been fowllowing. However, this Andrew Jackson was born in 1834, and died in 1842. Therefore, based upon the birth of Andrew J. Forgey, b. 1846 in Ind., I believe that this may be the son of Alexander Forgey, brother of Andrew Forgey. Both of these brothers were born in Tenn. There father was James Foprgey. This assumption is just that, and not proven. If you are researching the line, this may be the thread to follow. Dick Schack
