I have located homested and probate records on John and Matilda M. Forgey, his wife, in Douglas County, Washington. John recieved homesteaad title to 158 acres of land on November 3, 1891. He died in Douglas County on July 4, 1892. He had apparently filed for a second homestead claim, and it was granted to Matilda M. Forgey, as widow of John Forgey, on July 19, 1893. Matilda M. Forgey died in Douglas County on May 20, 1898, after a sickness of 4 years. There are no death or burial records on John or Matilda, but it is believed that they ware buried in the "Old" Waterville Cemetery, NE of Waterville on the Airport Road. Most of the markers in that cemetery were made of wood, and have weathered away over time. The bulk of the graves of that cemetery were moved to the "New" Waterville Cemetery, South of Waterville, about 100 years ago. There is no record there of John or Matilda Forgey. Dick
