I haven't been at this as long as others but I've thought for a while there must have been a change in spelling. I've been told that the name has always been spelled FOSKEY...I think that's based on finding the name spelled the same in the northeast U.S. Your suggestion is intresting...it would follow a general path from S.C. to Laurens County. I've found related family (non-Foskey)links in Warren & Glascock county. What documentation did you use in finding the residence and jury papers? What documentation shows Abraham Fausett in 1811? Why weren't any grandkids named Abraham?
I'd like to think you're on to something but my gut tells me no. Sorry. I'm beginning to think Durant & Emery were the first generation from England/Scotland/Ireland. BUT I don't find them listed on any passenger list so far. Keep at it, someone is bound to break this eventually.
