Hi Dianna,
This is the info that I managed to find on the Graves Index when I visited Nunhead Cemetery Open Day, 15 May 2004.

c = commom or communal

Unfortunately the table has become a bit distorted but you should be able to figure it out - if not e-mail me and I can send it as an attachment.

I couldn't manage to find any of the graves as parts of the cemetery are very overgrown but you might be able to plot them on your map.

I would be interested if you do manage to get back past g.g.grandfather as there could be a connection.
