I am trying to prove a connection from Robert French born in Ohio 1807 to William French born 21 Jul 1781 in Ostego, NY on back. Married to Phoebe Swearingame md. 14 Dec 1806 Washington Co. Ohio. I think they had two maybe three children in this marriage, Robert 1807, Lucy Ann 1809 and Susan, not sure of year, all born in Ohio. Then Phoebe died and William married Lois Fuller, having John Calvin 1816, Luther, 1818 and several more.
Robert French married Cynthia McVey, having a large family, Cynthia died in Grass Township, Spencer, Indiana. Robert then married a Rachel and they moved to Wisconsin, Rachel died and Robert married again and was living in IL. in the 1880 census he was with his son, Joseph living in Iowa and died soon after.
Lucy Ann French married John Jones and she died in 1913 in Hardin, Iowa. No information on Susan.
Any help would be wonderful.
