Daniel,
I got the information that Sarah Funkhouse was the wife of Adam Flener, Sr. from "Kentucky Traces" (The Official Publication of the Butler County, Ky Historical and Genealogical Society). The information was submitted by Dr. Phillip Lee who translated the information from an original text in German: "Flyner-Fliner-Fleiner" by Else Rath-Horing and Karl Fleiner, 1961. It stated that Adam was born 1740 in Wurttemburg, married Sarah Funkhouse, and had issue that was told in another issue hereafter. It goes into the ancestry of Adam Flener back to 1269. It does not state what proofs, if any, were used in this German Text.
Sharon
