At what age could a man stop paying a poll tax in early 1800's

Would anyone know at what age a man could stpo paying a poll tax in Clarke co Ga in the early 1800's? A man had to start paying a poll tax even if he did not own land in Ga at age 21. He could stop paying a poll tax at probaly age 60 or 65. Thanks
