I am diligently trying to research my husband's ancestors, but thus far I have encountered one brick wall after another. If there is someone out there that can offer any light on the following, we would greatly appreciate it.
Thomas J. Doster, b. 1874, d. Nov.1964 (known as "Judge Doster"). He married Mattie (maiden name unknown) b. 1879, d. 1959. Their children were Margie Doster, Ethel Doster, John Doster, Clara Doster, and Mildred ("Toots") Doster. They lived in Jackson County, Georgia.
Margie Doster, b. 1897, d. 1957, married Lee Eunice Tate, b. 1890, d. 1961. Their children were Raymond Tate, b. 1913, d. 1986, Willie Tate, and Herman Tate. They lived in Clarke County, Georgia
Raymond Tate married Mary Lee Powers, b. 1925 (living). Their children are Ronnie Lee Tate (my husband)b. 1947, and Raymond Michael Tate, b. 1951, also in Clarke County, Georgia.
Mary Lee Powers' parents were Floyd Jackson Powers, b. 1894, d. 1958, and Hester Mae Jones, b. 1890, d. 1974 or 77. They lived in White, Hall, and Jackson Counties, Georgia.
I would welcome any information that anyone could offer here to enlighten us about the Doster, Tate, Powers, or Jones ancestries.
