Sylvester's half sister?

I am trying to solve a mystery around Pearson when it may have been in Coffee county. I have heard the story that my grandmother may have had a half sister who was born in the early 1900's either in Florida or Georgia. Her name was supposedly Pinkie (probably a nickname?)and she raised the child of her half brother, sylvester when his wife died. Pinkie's mother was supposedly a HAZEN OR HAZEL and her father Martin James TAYLOR. I'm at a complete standstill on this. Can anyone help?

Retha
