I am looking for the family of my great, great grandmother, Hattie A. Pierce Rich. Here's what I have on her so far, pieced together from her obituary and several other sources: She was born in Milford, Baker county on 2/4/1849, and at an early age was left an orphan. Still an infant, she was carried on horseback from Milford to Brinson by her uncle, a Mr. Bryant. She was reared by her aunt, Harriet Bryant. She was Christened Hattie Pearce (a different spelling in this source). On April 26, 1867, Mr. Elijah A. J. Rich, married Miss Hattie Pierce. She lived in Decatur county, even maintaining it as her legal residence after she took up her abode with her daughter, at the death of her husband in 1925. She died 1/8/1933 in Miller County and was taken back home and buried beside her husband in Bethel Cemetery in Decatur County. Hattie and Elijah had eight children: Euzema, Minnie, Emory G., Arthur J., Dola, Hunnewell, Perry D., and Thomas E. Rich. I would love to hear from anyone who has information on the parents who evidently died at a very young age. Thanks! Gail Rich Nestor Notify Administrator about this message?
