I'm looking for proofs regarding the ancestry of Zachariah "Zack" BROOKINS, b. 15 Nov 1818 - Baldwin Co., GA/d. 26 Jul 1886 - Baldwin Co., GA. He married on 08 Dec 1840 - Washington Co., GA to his first wife, Rebecca A. "Pinkie" STANLEY, b. c. 1825 - Hancock Co., GA/d. bef. 1860 - Baldwin Co., GA. She was a dau. of Samuel Stanley and Martha Brown of Hancock Co.
Zachariah is supposedly a son of Benjamin Brookins, b. c. 1790 - Wayne Co., NC/d. 24 May 1864 - Baldwin Co., GA. He m. ? - prob. GA to Mary ?, b. c. 1790 - GA/d. bef. 1870 - Baldwin Co., GA.
Benjamin is, in turn, supposedly a son of Thomas Brookins, b. ? - prob. NC/d. bef. 1850 - GA. He m. ? - NC to Nancy ? (poss. Mercer), b. ? - ?/d. bef. 1850 - GA.
I've found no proof as of yet that Zachariah was a son of Benjamin, nor that Benjamin was a son of Thomas. Thomas serv. in the American Rev., but I'm not sure what his service was. This particular Thomas has been confused with another who married a woman named Jane Jarvis.
If anyone can help, it'd be very much appreciated.
