What happened to Bushville, GA?

I cannot find Bushville on any map beyond 1865. Was it destroyed during the war? OriginalIy it was in Franklin County until the split when it became part of Banks County. I am "told" that my supposed ancestor Daniel Bush, founded the community. The only facts I know are that my G4 grandmother joined the Grove Level Baptist Church in 1833. She was Nancy King (b.14 Jul 1789 Halifax, VA - d.18 Apr 1859 Oxford, Calhoun Co., AL), who married John Bush (b.1773 Franklin Co., GA - d.About 1847 Oxford, Benton Co., AL). They moved to Benton County, Alabama in 1836 and had a large farm just outside Oxford, Alabama where they spent the rest of their lives. (Benton County became Calhoun County in 1858).

Family "stories" have it that John's parents were Daniel Bush and Elizabeth Toney. Nancy is supposed to be the daughter of an Edmund King. It is said her sister Joicy married John's brother William.

Though I have lots of information on these speculative ancestors, I have no evidence (county records, church documents, etc). I was hoping the community of Bushville would provide some answers, but it seems the town has disappeared.

I am cross posting this in the Banks County, Franklin County, and Georgia state forums. Any help appreciated.
