I am researching Melissa Hill English, the wife of Hiram Jefferson English. Melissa Hill(Hill is maiden name) married Hiram Jefferson English on April 8,1868 in Banks County,GA. She apparently died in the 1870's because Hiram remarried to a Lara Ann Swafford, I have not been able to find the date of this marriage in Bank County records. I need the date that Melissa Hill English died. Hiram had twenty children by his two wives and I need Melissa's death date to seperate the children between the two wives.
Since Lara Ann Swafford was born in 1861, it is most probable that Hiram English did not marry her until around 1877 and Melissa probably died early that same year. I do need help in finding the cemetery in Banks County where she is burried and the dates on her grave. It would also help to find a date for the Marriage of Hiram Jefferson English to Lara Ann Swafford.
