I've been trying to find information on the children of William W. Hammond and Susannah L. Vaughn. They had 16 children in all. I have the spouses and other information for all but three children: Susannah L. HAMMOND, b: 02 Feb 1830; Theresa M. HAMMOND, b: 10 Jan 1835; and Berry Walton HAMMOND, b: 01 Aug 1842, all probably born in Oglethorpe Co. GA. I don't know what became of these three children. The family moved to Jackson Co. and was on the 1850 Jackson Co. GA Census. Susannah L. Vaughn HAMMOND, wife of William W. HAMMOND, d: 25 Mar 1863 in Jackson Co. GA. William W. HAMMOND married 2nd, Martha THURMOND, in Jackson Co. GA on 25 Aug 1863. I have no information on Martha. She and William had four children:
James Archer, b: 25 May 1864; Jobie Nathaniel, b: 01 Dec 1865; Fannie, b: 01 Mar 1867; and Nathan C., b: 07 Aug 1870. I have no information beyond this on these four children, all born in Jackson Co. Ga.
William W. Hammond d: 15 Sep 1872 in Jackson Co., which is now Barrow Co. He is buried on what was then his farm, and later was the Hunt or Hunter farm. If anyone knows where this is, I would love to learn where it is located in Barrow Co.
If anyone knows what became of any of the above children of William W. and Susannah Vaughn HAMMOND, and William W. and Martha Thurmond HAMMOND, who they may have married and death dates for them, it would be greatly appreciated.
