Seeking information on Mary Ann Carroll Pigford, wife of Edward Thomas Pigford b:4/25/1818 and d: 1900; buried in Rockfish Cemetery, Wallace,NC.
Mary Ann Carroll was b: abt.1840 daughter of John Durham Carroll & Zilphia Chesnutt, Duplin Co.,NC.
Mary Ann married Edward Thomas Pigford, after the Civil War. They had 2 sons Perry and Judson.
They apparently lived in Duplin Co. until the death of her husband. In about 1925 she went to live with her son Judson Pigford, in Georgia, probably in Ben Hill Co. she died September 22, 1928 in Ben Hill Co., Georgia.
Would like to hear from anyone that might have known her or the Pigford family.
She was the sister of my G.Grandmother Martha Jane "Mattie" Carroll.
