That Lastinger name is one I run across - believe it was a Lastinger who wrote the eyewitness account of my G-Grand father. John Carroll Lamb at that raliroad cut in MISS outside of Jackson. Also think that was the same Lastinger living next to my G-Grandmother, Statira Ann E. (Lovejoy) Lamb after she was widowed. One thing that caught my eye on yours was the name of one of the daus, Jinnie - as my Grandmother, only child/dau of John Carroll Lamb & Statira (Lovejoy) Lamb was called Jenny. She was about 4 yrs old at the time her father was killed in the War.....There was a minister who gave her that nickname - as her name was Lillian Eugenia (Lamb) - but think she was called "Jenny" all her life & is on her tombstone there in Lakeland. Were your Minnie & Jinnie twins? Their names sound like it. My G-Grandmother, Statira (Lovejoy) Lamb mar after about 7 yrs of being widowed to a Robert S. Holzendorf - I did not know where she was bur until a trip down there about 2 yrs ago & she is in the Cem across from the First Baptist Ch in Lakeland - which was Milltown - in Lanier Co - which was Berrien Co, GA. She was bur in a plot of one of their sons by that 2nd marriage - but her 2nd husb was not bur there. He is bur in the Stockton Cem for some reason. If only you could find a record of the daus' marriages.... shs Notify Administrator about this message?
