Augustus O. Bacon of Macon, Bibb Co; US Senator

I have a photo circa 1800's taken by the prominent Atlanta photographer Columbus W. Motes. Signed on back: "Yours truly, A. O. Bacon." At this time, he served in the Ga. House; later he was a U.S. Senator. He graduated from Univ. of Ga. "Literery Dept." in 1859 and Law Dept. 1860.
Almost immediately he was in the Civil War, becomihng a Captain. He practiced law in Macon, married Mary Louisa Jones in 1864, and died in Washington DC in 1914. A scan and my research material is available; contact me if he is your family or if you are interested.
